Weeks before the release of Department, Rana is all praise for RGV, his favourite director. "I freak out whenever I see Ramu's 'Shiva'. His other path-breaking films like 'Satya' and 'Company' have stayed on well with me as well but it is 'Shiva' that tops the list", says Rana who made his debut with a dramatic 'Dum Maaro Dum' exactly a year ago.
Talking about Ramu, Rana says, "I guess no one else is making the kind of films that he does. Now being a part of something like 'Department' which belongs to the same space is just terrific. As an actor, it is always a great thing. Ramu's forte is the space of gangsters, police and politics - he can never go wrong there."
For everyone's sake one hopes that turns out to be the case with 'Department' which releases all over on May 18
