Mumbai: It was what you'd describe as a family affair. Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee and her entire family showed up to lend support to her brother Raja Mukherjee who launched his new television soap Kisi Ki Nazar Na Lage on Monday in Mumbai.
While the actress stayed away from prying cameras and inquisitive reporters, her brother was happy to do the talking on her behalf.
“She was not well, and she asked me to cancel the event, but I couldn't since I had made all arrangements. So I asked her to come if she cannot talk,” Raaja explained.
Sadly for the brother, he couldn't escape the obvious question that was on everyone's minds about Rani's supposedly impending marriage with filmmaker Aditya Chopra.
“It’s just a rumour. See Rani is working with Yash Raj Films, she is doing a lot of work with them. Aditya is just her producer. It’s a professional relationship, so that doesn't mean she having an affair with him,” Raaja said.
With Rani turning out to be the centre of attention, it's no surprise few seemed keen to talk about the show that was being launched at the occasion.
Perhaps, Rani might consider making a special appearance on the soap so that we talk about the show for a change!
