RBI quiz for students

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is launching an all-India RBI inter-school quiz, RBIQ, beginning on September 10 aimed at promoting financial literacy at school level. The quiz will be conducted among students from standard nine to plus-two. Being a pilot run, select schools located across the country and all Boards have been invited to participate this year.

The quiz will consist of questions on Reserve Bank, Indian banking history, banking, accounting, finance, trade and commerce, India’s economy, economics, common business terms, India’s achievements since the inception of the Reserve Bank 77 years ago etc. General knowledge and current affairs will also be covered.

After the elimination round in more than 30 cities, the zonal finals will be conducted in mid-November, 2012 and the finals at the national level will be held at Mumbai in the third week of December 2012. The winners will be given attractive prizes by the Reserve Bank Governor. All participants will be given participation certificates.
