In an evening filled with affection rather than huge attendance the 35th year of existence of Sri Raghavendra Chitravani and 11th year of annual awards were presented at The Bell Hotel near Bengaluru City Railway Station.
RCV Awards for producer HN Muddhu Krishna and journalist RG Vijayasarathy were the main honors with individual awards from film industry personalities to achievers and seniors in the field like photo journalist Praveen Nayak, playback singer Smt Chandrika Gururaj, director Joe Simon, veteran actress Hema Chaudhary, music director Arjun Janya, director Nagashekhar, dialogue writer of Sarathi Kannada cinema Chintan, debut director to Jayathirtha of Olave Mandhara, Ghouse Peer upcoming lyricist, veteran actor Ashwath Narayan received the honor in the presence of veteran Dwarakish, KSL Swamee, KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar, KCA chair person Thara Anuradha and Vice President of KFCC Sa Ra Govindu on the dais.
The artists should believe in the work and not lose heart. Another veteran on the dais KSL Swamee urged for giving comfort to artists and technicians like Ashwathnarayan by evolving a fund. KFCC President KV Chandrasekhar immediately reacted and stated the welfare fund for such needy persons of the Industry. It is a job they are asking with self respect. The system of other states should be followed here for the depressed artists and technicians KSL Swamee stressed again.
