Mumbai: They were last seen together in Basu Chatterji's Kamla Ki Maut.
It was a happy reunion this time for the husband and wife actor team of Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak who are being paired opposite each other after 18 years.
The duo play a married couple and will be seen in Bhavna Talwar's directorial debut Dharam, that had its music launch in the city.
Says Supriya Pathak, "It's the perfect comeback for me. I was acting opposite one of the greatest actors and it was a blast. We really enjoyed working together."
Adds Pankaj Kapur, "There is a certain comfort level you have if you are working with your wife. We knew our problems and we could share that with each other."
And the director too has her two bits to add. "There was complete coordination. They were the guiding light on the sets and they just got into their characters," she says.
Dharam is the story of a staunch pandit's journey from ritualism to realism as his life changes when he adopts an abandoned child.
Set to release in India in the first week of June, the film will first be screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
