Leh: After putting up a tremendous show on New Delhi's historic Rajpath recently, a Red Bull Racing car on Monday took Formula One's speed and thunder to the world's highest motorable Road at the Khardung-La pass at a dizzying height of 18,380 feet.
Driven by Neel Jani, an Indian origin driver, the Red Bull show car passed through the famous Thiksey Monastery and also encountered the famous rolling roads of South Pullu.
Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah flagged off a part of Jani's journey.
"Of all the places I've driven around the world, Khardung La has got to be the most humbling. The Himalayas are as imposing as anything in the world and to become a part of history here will be a cherished memory," commented Jani.
