New Delhi: In a kidnapping case in Delhi, six students including two MBA students were arrested on Sunday evening by the South Delhi police. The accused had kidnapped a 15-year-old student of Gyan Bharti school and were demanding a ransom of Rs 80 lakh to cover up their losses in the share market.
The boy, Arjun Verma, was kidnapped on November 20 and the kidnappers were arrested by the police on Sunday evening.
The main accused, Bharat, had some dispute with Arjun's family so he along with his two other friends - Piyush and Rohit - roped in three more boys and kidnapped Arjun.
Piyush is a property dealer and Rohit is Bharat’s classmate.
The kidnappers told the police that they lost Rs 80 lakh in the stock market and to recover that loss they planned this kidnapping.
Bharat, Piyush and Rohit planned the kidnapping and the other three accused helped them in carrying out the entire act.
Arjun’s father had died last year and his mother is a house wife. According to the police the family has a lot of property in Saket.
