New Delhi: Bhartiya Janshakti leader Uma Bharti's followers on Thursday attacked Reliance Fresh outlet in Bhopal. Bharti was seen instigating her supporters to pelt stones at the shop, which was incidentally closed.
The rally was held by the Bhartiya Janshakti Party chief as a mark of protest against the setting up of Reliance Fresh stores in the state. The fiery sanyasin was holding a demonstration in Bhopal and provoked the mob by saying that they have had enough demonstration in a peaceful manner and now they must act. Following her statement, the mob went berserk and attacked the store pelting stones and shouting slogans.
The police resorted to a lathicharge to control the unruly crowd and bring the situation under control. Few policemen were also reportedly injured in the violence.
