Ranchi: The Koda net is widening with each day. Latest reports in the former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda’s multi-crore scam have revealed his links with Bollywood.
The Income Tax Department and Enforcement Department have reportedly found that two Bollywood actresses allegedly received money from Koda during his tenure.
Sources tell CNN-IBN that both the actresses allegedly received Rs 40 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively from Koda on two separate occasions.
Interestingly, one of the actresses was chosen as the brand ambassador of Jharkhand in 2008 when Koda was the chief minister.
She was appointed to promote the tribal state as the preferred investment destination for non-resident Indians.
However, this report raises many questions –
- Why were these Bollywood actresses paid such a huge amount of money?
- Were they aware that the payments made to them were black money from Hawala scam?
- Were there other Bollywood personalities who were Koda’s beneficiaries?
Sources say the two actresses will now be questioned by the I-T department.
