Resumption of KFA flights still in doubt as talks between management, staff fail

CNN-IBN | Updated Oct 04, 2012 at 08:58am IST

New Delhi: The resumption of Kingfisher Airlines' flight four days after its lock-down seems to be under a cloud after talks between the airline management and employees failed. Sources said that the staff who have not been paid their salaries since March demanded to be paid in full on Wednesday and this was turned down by the management.

Sources added that CEO Sanjay Aggarwal requested his employees for 20 more days to clear their dues. Agarwal and Chairman Vijay Mallya will be meeting employees in Delhi and Mumbai on Thursday in a bid to end the deadlock.

Meanwhile, the DGCA report has said that flights cannot take off as the strike has jeopardised the airlines' safety. Kingfisher will also have to submit a foolproof operations plan assuring the aviation regulator that passenger inconvenience will be minimised.
