New Delhi: The Employees' Provident Fund Office has initiated an inquiry into the retail chain Subhiksha even as its top management quit.
Subhiksha is being investigated for non-payment of Provident Fund dues to its employees.
Subhiksha Managing Director DR Subramanian said that the inquiry by EPFO against Subhiksha are for non-payment of PF dues. The hearing is scheduled for February 19.
Subramanian also said that all the Directors of Subhiksha have been summoned for the PF enquiry.
According to reports that the company has Rs 5 crore including interest as PF dues.
Last week Subhiksha had admitted that they had not paid their employees' salary for last three months due to lack of funds.
