Sao Paulo: Serena Williams says she has no plans of retirement and feels fortunate to be still travelling the world and doing what she loves.

After struggling at the start of the year, the 31-year-old won Wimbledon, the US Open and Olympic Gold in 2012. She was rewarded for her efforts last week by winning the WTA Tour Player of the Year for a fourth time.

"I'm not thinking about ending my career any time soon. I love playing tennis and opportunities to travel to wonderful countries make me very happy," the 15-time grand slam winner said.

Retirement not on my mind, says Serena Williams

Serena Williams feels fortunate to be still travelling the world and doing what she loves.

"While I am healthy I don't see my career ending. It's important to be No.1 in the world but its also fundamental to play grand slams. What is better than travelling the world and doing what you love? It couldn't be better."

The American world No. 3 is in Sao Paulo for an exhibition tournament also involving Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka, Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Tommy Robredo, Tommy Haas and Thomaz Bellucci.

"I hope to have a lot of fun. I am very excited to be here. I want to play at my best for the people watching," she said. "There is no pressure, it's a different situation."

Williams also outlined plans to indulge in her passion for shopping during her Brazil visit. "I want to try out the Brazilian bikinis and see how they fit me because I love bikinis," she said. "I hope to do it soon and find what I'm looking for."
