New Delhi: Reliance Industries has announced that it will invest over Rs 1.5 lakh crore in various ventures in the next three years. At the annual general body meeting, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani hinted that the company will focus the bulk of its capital expenditure in its core energy business.
Ambani said there are several opportunities to participate in oil and gas exploration globally. "Recent gas discovery 2-km below currently producing gas field in KG-D6 block, has potential to significantly add to resource base," Mukesh Ambani said.
He has also announced the finalisation of partnerships for the launch of RIL's 4G services. He said the company's telecom arm would make aggressive launches this year.
However, the investors have not reacted positively. RIL shares were seen trading lower on Thursday.
