Click to play videoNew Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday, probing the mysterious death of Rizwanur Rehman, interrogated his wife Priyanka Todi's father and uncle.
Sources say the CBI questioned industrialist Ashok Todi and her uncle Anil Sarogi for over 10 hours.
Todi refused to speak to the media when he left the CBI office in Kolkata after the questioning.
Cricketer Saurav Ganguly's brother Snehasish was also interrogated by the CBI on Wednesday.
Snehasish had initially introduced Ashok Todi to former Kolkata police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee.
Sarogi, on the other hand, had signed the separation bond between Rizwanur and Priyanka.
The bond stated that Priyanka would return to Rizwan's place seven days from the date of signing before Gyanwant Singh at Lalbazar.
The CBI also summoned Trinamool Congress leader Javed
Khan whose role in the case has come under the scanner following allegations that he had tried to separate Rizwanur
from Priyanka after they married against her father's
wishes.
Sources in the CBI said on Tuesday Additional Commissioner of Police Sukanti Chakraborty and sub-inspector in the Anti Rowdy Section Krishnendu Das were interrogated by the agency.
Sources also confirmed that two other IPS officers will be called for interrogation later.
