Rajya Sabha: RJD MP tears papers, protests against Lokpal

New Delhi: There has been high drama in the Rajya Sabha after the debate on the Lokpa Bill ended when MPs belonging to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Samajwadi Party started shouting slogans and protested against the Lokpal Bill.

RJD MP Rajniti Prasad tore some papers, threw it in the well of the House and shouted slogans protesting against the Lokpal Bill. His party colleague Ramkripal Yadav also protested against the Bill.

Several MPs including Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI(M)) leader demanded a ruling from Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari on the confusion related to the House session continuing beyond midnight as the session was only till December 29.
