New Delhi: Eighteen-year-old Akshay Mehta lies battered and with over 40 stitches on his face. Akshay is the alleged victim of yet another road rage case on the streets of Delhi. His sister Akansha, who was with him at the time of the incident is still traumatised.

"They beat my brother for 15 minutes with a baseball bat. No one came for help,” says Akansha.

But the family of the accused, Abhijit Singh has a different story to tell. They say it was Akanksha who rammed her blue esteem into Abhijit's white Wagon R and Akshay's injuries were sustained while running away when the Esteem also hit the Wagon R for the second time. The family claims that it was Abhishek who called the police after his car was hit the first time.

“My son is being framed,” says Abhijit’s mother, Savita Singh

Meanwhile the police has recovered Abhijit's car. But the baseball bat that was allegedly used to batter Akshay is nowhere to be found, and the accused remain untraceable.
