Round II of Left-Govt talk fails, next stop Oct 5

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Not just the attack over Ram Sethu, the Central Government is under fire on several fronts.

The UPA and Left are yet to resolve their differences over the Indo-US nuclear deal.

The second round of meeting of the UPA-Left panel formed to discuss the deal failed to break the deadlock.

Left leaders have said they are not convinced by the arguments put forward by the government in favour of the deal.

Left has made a point-by-point rebuttal of claims made by the Government.

The two sides have not budged from their positions on the implications of the Hyde Act on the country's security and foreign policy.

The next meeting of the 15-member panel would be held on October 5.
