New Delhi: Akshay Kumar’s latest film ‘Rowdy Rathore’ got an amazing opening. The film earned Rs 15.10 crore on the first day itself. Directed by Prabhu Deva, Sonakshi Sinha plays the lead role in the film.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently posted on Twitter, “ #RowdyRathore collects Rs 79.52 cr nett in 1st Week, Outstanding. #RowdyRathore smashed previous records in many circuits. Has performed exceptionally well at single screens and plexes...Fri 15.1 cr, Sat 14.7 cr, Sun 18.5 cr, Mon 9.5 cr, Tue 8.12 cr, Wed 7.1 cr, Thu 6.5 cr. Total: Rs 79.52 cr nett . Fabulous!”
So, undoubtedly the film is all set to enter Bollywood’s Rs 100 crore club. ‘Rowdy Rathore’ is a remake of Telugu film 'Vikramarkudu'. With south remakes making good money at the box office, no wonder almost all the actors are following the trend. Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Rowdy Rathore’ looks very similar to Salman Khan’s superhit film ‘Dabangg’. Sonakshi Sinha is also the common factor between both the films. Lucky Sonkashi who didn’t have much to do in both the films, has all the reasons to celebrate.
Now, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha will be seen together in Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. So far, this year has been good for Akshay as both his films ‘Housefull 2’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’ turned out to be commercially successful.
