New Delhi: Best-selling author J K Rowling's latest offering hits stands on Thursday, world-wide. No Harry Potter isn't back with another adventure, but Rowling has released The Tales of Beedle the Bard a year-and-a-half after the final Potter title hit stores.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard finds mention in the last Potter title, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
It's a collection of magical fairy tales that help in Potter's final quest.
Hogwarts headmaster Professor Dumbledore leaves the collection to Hermione in his will. But while Rowling's pet creation Hermione translates the ancient runes in the seventh book, the truth is that the illustrations are actually done by Rowling herself.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard hits stores in India and is priced at Rs 599. And the best part of the story is that Rowling has released it for charity - to help children suffering in institutions across Europe.
