Mumbai: The Jodhaa Akbar premiere glittered with the presence of its leading stars and their families, whose confidence in the film shone through.

On a red carpet tailor made for a film saluting royalty the Bachchans and the Roshans put their best foot forward.

Actor Hrithik Roshan, who plays Akbar in the historical drama said minutes before going in for the premiere, "I'm very happy, wish me luck."

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who plays the role of Jodhaa, looked like a vision in pink. The actress was all praises for the efforts put into the making of the period epic as she said, "We have put in the effort from the costumes, to the sets and acting to make a film like this so special."

Director Ashutosh Gowariker said, "I' m anticipating, and looking forward to the reactions the film is going to receive."

Not only the crew of the film, but many from the film fraternity were present at the premiere to show their support for the film, even actors and filmmakers who rarely make public appearances, turned up to catch the royal love story.

Actor Aamir Khan was enthusiastic as he said, "I' m very keen to see what Ashutosh has made on this particular subject, so I' m looking forward to seeing the film."

Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra was inquisitive as he said, "I' m curious to see how Ashutosh has handled the Ash-Hrithik combo."

With initial reports being positive, and such a glorious star cast, Jodhaa Akbar stands a strong chance of becoming the first major hit of this year.
