Hyderabad: The Election Commission officials in AP have seized a record Rs 32 crore in cash just days ahead of the Andhra Pradesh bypolls. Valuables worth Rs 9 crore have also been recovered.
The amount is even higher than the cash seized during the election campaigns in the 2009 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Andhra Pradesh is set to go for bypolls on June 12.
