New Delhi: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh now targetted Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and alleged that the RSS was using Team Anna. The spiritual guru though refused to be drawn into an exchange with the Congress.
It's seems like the drama of the absurd. Even as Anna Hazare continues to maintain his maun vrat (vow of silence), Digvijaya Singh continues to level allegations against Team Anna.
Singh on Thursday alleged that the anti-corruption stir by Anna Hazare and Ramdev were part of an over-all plan of RSS- BJP to divert attention from Sangh's 'terror links' and warned spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that he too could be used by them.
The AICC general secretary said that while Ramdev and Anna Hazare were plan A and B of the Sangh-BJP, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is plan C and asked the spiritual guru to be "wary" of the two organisations.
"I have always said that RSS is trying to divert attention. RSS is involved in terror activities. So they want to divert the attention of people. I request Annaji and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji not to get involved in this," Singh said.
Reacting to it, Sri Sri said, "People write so many things. I do not react to every comment. Everybody is entitled to his views. Let them do whatever they want to do. I'm not scared of anybody."
Even Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal says he won't respond to Digvijaya Singh's baiting. And he remained defiant on the IT notice asking him to pay 9.5 lakh rupees even as the deadline expired.
"There is no summons or any such provision on this particular issue, and I will adequately respond. I'm consulting my friends so I'll adequately respond in a week or 10 days," Kejriwal said.
The core committee of Team Anna is meeting on the October 29. This is the first meeting after two of its members have quit in proest. Team Anna has to deal with attacks from within and not outside. Anna will not make it to Delhi but his 'maun vrat' is doing little to silence either criticism or controversy.
