Going hi-tech means going wire-free

New Delhi: Technology has crossed the bridge of messy wires and complicated circuitry.

Making your computer Wi-Fi is a simple process, requiring two dongles which should be plugged into the computer's USB ports.

The first device controls the keyboard and the mouse. The second device is a bluetooth which, when plugged into the computer, is capable of powering headphones.

The bluetooth dongle can also make the PC a full-fledged bluetooth device, which means that images, contacts, music, any kind of data can be transferred from the cellphone (or any other device) onto the computer. And it is all wire-free.

The next step is a wireless keyboard, preferably a solar-powered one. This keyboard runs on any kind of light, whether bulbs or tube-lights. And for those days when the lights are out, or you want to watch movies in the dark, the keyboard can even work with two pencil cells.

Using a wireless mouse, keyboard and a headphones can also increase the distance between the user and the computer and give the user more flexibility in movement.

The final addition to the wireless world is a router for wireless internet connectivity. All that is needed is to attach the internet cable to the router and you can surf the 'net from any location in your house. You can even access the internet using a laptop or a cellphone, minus the trying wires.

Not only the mess of criss-crossed wires is done away with, but there is considerably less strain on the eyes as wireless hardware lets you sit away from the computer. Clearly, going wire-free is the way forward.
