New Delhi: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Monday congratulated Sachin Tendulkar for taking oath as the Rajya Sabha member and appealed to him to raise his voice against corruption.
"We welcome and congratulate him. Sachin should raise his voice against corruption and also against those who are not in favour of Lokpal. We will keep supporting him outside," Anna said.
Anna has also been calling for Sachin to be conferred with the Bharat Ratna.
Sachin Tendulkar took oath as a Rajya Sabha member on Monday. Sachin is the first active sportsperson and cricketer to have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
