Ad films are no challenge: Saif

Mumbai: Actor Saif Ali Khan says that he would rather be in front of a film camera than pose for print advertisements. CNN-IBN caught him in a confessional mood.

Priya Krishnamoorthy: When we see our stars plastered all over the place — billboards and on television commercials — I am sure a lot of people wonder, ‘I wish I could be in that position.’ But Saif watching you and Esha Deol do a shoot for Provogue it doesn't look all that easy. Would you agree?

Saif Ali Khan: No, actually it is ridiculously easy. It is not something that I am particularly good at - smiling for still cameras. I find it easier to breathe or be more natural in front of film cameras.

Priya Krishnamoorthy: What about the photo shoot then?

Saif Ali Khan: It is something about striking a pose. I see it as being a benefit to my profession. Somehow it is not really my profession, even though it is a lucrative part of it. It takes me a while to get it right.

Priya Krishnamoorthy: So, do you get Provogue shirts for free?

In fact the freebies are what I value most. I have already had a word with certain chips and toothpaste companies. I said, ‘where are they?’ I have told them to send me my chips and my toothpastes, as it has been a long time.
