Shiv Sena objects to Kurbaan poster

Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar's upcoming film Kurbaan has been gripped by controversy with Shiv Sena objecting to the movie's poster that flaunts actress Kareena Kapoor's bare back.

Shiv Sena sent Kareena a saree, urging her to cover up. When Kareena was spotted at a promotional event for the film she chose not to speak on the subject.

"Mein iske bare mein kuch nahi kehna chahate hu (I do not want to comment on this)," she said. And Saif played the knight in shining armour, he valiantly stepped forward to defend his beloved.

"I think I would like to speak on her behalf. The poster is very tasteful and if some party has objected and we have offended someone unknowingly we would look into it because it has been passed by the censor board. But I realise India is a sensitive country and the look of the film has been out for a while now and every time a film releases there have been objections or someone gets offended," he said.

Saif then went on to shower praises on his lady love.

"I am very excited that I got the chance to work with Kareena, she is a wonderful actress and she has done a great job. I saw the film twice and first time I only saw myself and second time I saw her. I think she was outstanding and you have never seen her in this form before," he said.

It looks like many more Saifeena films are on the anvil.
