Mumbai: A candid Saif Ali Khan over the weekend admitted that he was surprised at being honoured with the Padma Shri Award. The actor, who was in Bangalore on Sunday, went on record to say that the recognition is a tad premature, but he feels humbled nevertheless.
“I think I am a little young for the honour and I think there are many more people senior than me who are more deserving for this hounor,” said Khan.
“Its not something that I asked for. But, its something I will gratefully accept and hopefully, in a few years, I would have lived up to it. I will try my best to keep in my mind that it’s something to live up to.”
Ranbir Kapoor excited
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor who is busy shooting with Priyanka Chopra for his latest film,Anjana Anjani, in New York had a blast at the Madison Square Garden where he met his favourite basketball stars. The actor was thrilled to bits to meet NBA star player Kobe Bryant.
"I heard of stories about Madison Square Garden, but actually being in this place…it was just amazing...I'm still shaking with excitement," said an excited Ranbir.
SRK at Tussauds
Shah Rukh Khan has become the first Indian actor to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. The 44-year-old actor's statue reportedly cost nearly US$ 300,000. King Khan stands immortalized at London's Madame Tussauds too with a whole host of other Indian actors but his induction at the Hollywood museum as a wax model is the first for a Bollywood actor.
