Taipei: Badminton star Saina Nehwal has won the Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold tournament in Taipei.
Saina defeated unseeded Malaysian Li Ya Lydia Cheah 21-8 and 21-19 in the final.
This is Saina's second major international title and no other Indian woman has even reached 2 finals.
She had won the Philippines Open in 2006.
Saina has had an impressive run in the last few months.
In the quarterfinals of the Beijing Olympics last month, she was just a few points away from reaching the semis before faltering against Malaysian Maria Kristin Yulianti.
