Salgaocar beat Pune FC, Prayag United held

Jamshedpur: Salgaocar took virtually no time to score two goals against defending champions Pune FC to win their first match of the U-20 Tournament for I-League Clubs here Thursday.

Goals in the second and fourth minute by Godfrey and Albino, respectively, helped the Goan club win against Pune FC in spite of the latter's 68th minute effort courtesy L. Willium to reduce the margin and stage a comeback.

In the second match of the day, Prayag United were held to a 1-1 draw by Sporting Clube De Goa. Pritam and Rajon Barman scored one apiece for Sporting and Prayag United, respectively, in the span of one minute during the first half.
