Salgaocar held to a 1-1 draw by Mohun Bagan at Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Salgaocar and Mohun Bagan fought keenly to finish with a 1-1 draw in the opener of the final round of 6th Under-20 I-league tournament here Saturday.

Topping the Group A with 10 points in the league stage, Salgaocar exhibited an aggressive game right from the kick off and surged ahead in 33rd minute through striker Albino Pereira.

Pereira received an accurate mid-field pass in front of the penalty box, made a solo move to enter the box dodging the Mohun Bagan defender and slotted home. Bagan striker Mayon Kaping restored parity when he converted a measured crosspiece from left flank in 85th minute.
