Sameera gears up for her AXN act

Mumbai: After kicking some butt on cellphones, Sameera Reddy's taking her action image quite seriously.

Sameera will now host the action awards on AXN. The actress however says she is not ready to be a regular television hostess, and did make an exception for AXN.

"They came to me after seeing films like Naksha. It suited my image,” says Sameera.

Known for performing her own stunts, Sameera loves her gizmos and despite a tag of one of boys from her various co-stars, she claims she is still a girl at the end of it all.

"I'm still a girl when I get hurt. I had a lot of cuts when I fell on a glass table onece. But I turned around very bravely, and the crew on my set clapped. But after that I cried and called my mom,” says Sameera.

When asked if she loves Bollywood’s action heroes, Sameera said, “I love all my co-stars - Hrithik in Dhoom, Shahrukh in Don. They work very hard and are very good.”

Apart from the awards, the actress will be seen in Abbas Mustan’s Race, Mira Nair's short film on AIDS and Kumar Mangat's next film.
