'Samrajyam 2' to be directed by Perarasu

When the sequel making had become a trend a couple of years ago in Mollywood, the fans of hit movie 'Samrajyam' made some posters for its sequel and uploaded in some forums in the title 'Son of Alexander'. But now after an year for the first appearance of that poster made by some die hard fans, a movie, that too the sequel for the same 'Samrajyam' is being announced in the same title now.

Yes, the super hit Mammootty starrer 'Samrajyam' will have a sequel soon in the title 'Samrajyam 2' - Son Of Alexander. The movie will be the debut Malayalam venture of famous Tamil director Perarasu.

21 years from the original, this sequel will be telling a underworld plot with the son of Alexander, the character played by Mammootty in the original as the hero. But who will play the role is yet to be decided.

The producers of the film Ajmal Hassan and Baiju Adityan are planning to make this a big affair with stars like Prakash Raj, Arjun, Manoj K. Jayan, Biju Menon and Suraj Venjaramood in the leading roles. Mohammed Shafeek pens the screenplay and RA Shefeer is the music composer. The film is expected to hit the screens during the Christmas.
