New Delhi: The coveted Samsung Galaxy S III, which became the world's best-selling smartphone model last quarter, pushing aside Apple's iPhone, is now available on Kaunsa.com for Rs 29,999. It seems to be a good deal as the same model is available for purchase on the Samsung India e-store for Rs 35,499.
According to the e-commerce site, the smartphone will be delivered in 7 to 12 days. The phone features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and zero shutter lag and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. The phone has 16GB of internal storage space. Its memory is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card.
Weighing 133g, the phone is only 8.6 mm thick. The Samsung Galaxy S III runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, operating system. The phone comes powered by a quad-core microprocessor.
Strategy Analytics estimated Samsung sold 18 million S III models in the third quarter, compared with iPhone 4S sales of 16.2 million.
Strong sales of the flagship Galaxy S III - which comes with a large 4.8 inch touchscreen - helped Samsung post a record $7.3 billion operating profit in the July-September quarter.
