New Delhi: Samsung has unveiled its new smartphone - Galaxy Premier - which has a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED (720x1280) display. The phone runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
The phone has an 8-megapixel, autofocus camera with LED flash. It sports a 1.9-megapixel HD camera. The Samsung Galaxy Premier is armed with 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. The phone supports 1080p videos. Its connectivity options include WiFi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0.
The phone comes in two storage options - 8GB and 16 GB. Its memory can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. Weighing 130 g, the phone comes packed with a 2100mAh battery. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Premier has features including S Beam, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Pop-up Play and Best Photo.
Samsung will start selling the Galaxy Premier in November 2012 in Russia. Currently, the phone has only been made official in the Ukraine, where it's been scheduled to be released in November at 5,555 Ukrainian hryvnias (roughly translates to $680).
The device later will be available in South East Asia, China and Korea. Depending on the region and suppliers, the smartphone will go on sale in two versions - 3G and LTE.
