New Delhi: Sania Mirza's run came to an end in the East West Bank Classic when she was beaten 6-1, 7-6 by Virginie Razzano in the third round in Los Angeles.
Sania had earlier beaten world No. 12 Martina Hingis to enter the last eight. However, her doubles campaign is still not over.
Sania and her doubles partner Bethanie Mattek will now play second seeds Czech Kveta Peschke and Australian Rennae Stubbs in the pre-quarterfinals.
