New Delhi: India's Sania Mirza has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Sony Ericsson International WTA event in Bangalore on Thursday.
Sania beat Belarus's Tatiana Poutchek 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in her second round clash to advance into the last eight.
The Hyderabadi now takes on unseeded Yaroslava Shvedova of Russia in the quarter-final on Friday.
