Actor Imran Khan is certainly upbeat about his upcoming release Kidnap. In conversation with CNN-IBN's Entertainment Editor, Rajeev Masand, the actor spoke about his experience of working with Sanjay Dutt and about his new film.
Rajeev Masand: What drew you to Kidnap?
Imran Khan: Well, a couple of things. Firstly it has a great script which I instantly connected with and loved. I had like Sanjay Ghadvi's work (Dhoom and Dhoom 2) and at the same time I was getting to work with Sanjay Dutt.
Rajeev Masand: What was it like working with Sanjay Dutt?
Imran Khan: My first day of shooting was with him and it was nerve racking to say the least. I was so nervous, we had to give a couple of takes and I went up to him and apologised saying "I'm sorry sir, I keep messing up, it's just that I'm very nervous," to which he responded with a bone crunching hug and replied,"chill bro, I'm here for you." It's just, during the shot when he used to say his line, I used to look into his eyes and drift off.
Rajeev Masand: Kidnap is a more physical film than Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na. Was that a challenge that you embraced?
Imran Khan: Ya, I completely loved it.
