New Delhi: After Pakistan's flip flop over the release of death row convict Sarabjit Singh, his family on Thursday sat on a dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding the release of Sarabjit. Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur is expected to meet the External Affairs Minister SM Krishna shortly.
Hours after reports emerged on Tuesday that Pakistan was to free Sarabjit Singh, the Pakistan Presidential spokesman clarified that authorities had actually ordered the release of Surjeet Singh.
“We are going to south Block now. The whole world has seen what Pakistan has done. They will have to release Sarabjit. I am hoping that he will be released before August,” Dalbir Kaur said.
