New Delhi: CNN-IBN won the Panda award in the 'Best News ' story category for its story Last Dance of Saras reported by its correspondent Bahar Dutt in March this year.

The story exposed how Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is building an airport in his constituency in Etawah at the cost of the state bird Saras.

Singh wanted the state bird to make way for steel jets and the wetlands to make way for a brand new airstrip spelling what may be the last dance for the world's tallest flying bird.
