TIRUCHY: Actor Sarathkumar on Saturday announced that his Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) would support the AIADMK in the Sankarankoil Assembly bypoll.
Asserting that his party continued with the AIADMK alliance, the actor told media persons here that he would campaign for the AIADMK, which had provided good governance in the State.
Answering a query on why the South Indian Film Actors Union had not taken up the Mullaiperiyar dam issue, Sarathkumar said the union had conducted several protests on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue and it would do so on the dam dispute too, if it was required.

Chennai: “The Tamil Maanila Muslim League will launch its campaign in support of the AIADMK candidate in the Sankarankovil by-election,” said S Sheik Dawood, president of the party.
