New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday confirmed its interim order, cancelling over 250 allotments of petrol pumps, LPG and kerosene outlets during 2000-2002 under the NDA regime.
During this time, most allotments were believed to have been made to the relatives of those connected with the alliance.
The Apex Court upheld the recommendations of Justice Aggrawal Committe, which had sought the cancellation of these allotments.
The committee was constituted to look into the allotment of petroleum and LPG dealerships during 2000-2002.
The committee had examined over 409 cases and recommended the cancellation of more than 297 allotments.
