Gelsenkirchen: Schalke are on the verge of signing Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng from AC Milan. The Bundesliga club say on their website that the 26-year-old Boateng is undergoing a medical.
Boateng scored twice as Milan qualified for the Champions League with a 3-0 win over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday. His departure could open the way for Milan to bring Kaka back from Real Madrid.
Boateng scored 10 goals in 74 league games for Milan since joining in 2010. He previously played for English clubs Tottenham and Portsmouth, as well as Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund.
Schalke say "Boateng has made a name for himself as a two-footed, versatile midfielder."
