School shooting in Madhya Pradaesh, one killed

Bhopal: Barely a month after the school shooting case in Gurgaon, there's been another case and this time the tragic incident took place in a government school in Madhya Pradesh.

A 10th standard boy allegedly fired at an 8th standard student, who died on the way to the district hospital. The incident happened on Thursday at the government school premises in Chorbani village, in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

The accused student apparently used his father's country-made revolver to shoot at the victim at the chest during the school examinations.

The police arrested the accused student and are questioning him.

ADM Satna district Nagendra Mishra said that the motive behind the shooting was still not clear.

"The boy has been arrested and the weapon is in our custody. We are still investigating the motive behind the murder," Mishra said.
