Guwahati: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cast his vote on Thursday in a school in Guwahati.

Sadly, despite the PM's presence one couldn't take their eyes off the dilapidated state the school was in.

The Dispur higher secondary school has no library, only one toilet and the benches and switchboards inside the classrooms are broken.

The cash-strapped Dispur higher secondary school with 900 students was trying hard to forget the hard reality and cling on its thirty seconds of glory and two proud votes, that of the PM and his wife, Gursharan Kaur.

The new principal momentarily reflected on the glory of the visit by the Prime Minister but also dwelled on the renovation which is apparently the need of the hour.
