Sehwag, Gambhir escape unhurt during stampede

Patna: A charity Twenty20 cricket match in Patna featuring Virendra Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir took a turn for the worse when a stampede broke out in the stadium.

Police rushed in and had to lathicarge to bring the mob under control.

Fans broke into a frenzy on seeing Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir from up close. The two cricketers were there to raise funds for survivors of the Kosi flood.

Cricketer Praveen Kumar was also present on the ground. All the three cricketers escapes unhurt as spectators hurled stones during prize distribution ceremony.
