New Delhi: It is day two of the BJP National Executive and the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is not attending the meet. The Shiv Sena on Saturday took a dig at Modi as also ally BJP's discomfiture.
An article in its mouthpiece 'Saamna' titled "How Modi's dandiya has the BJP in a tizzy', carried a caricature of Modi playing the Dandiya. The article makes fun of how the BJP top brass was at a loss to explain his absence.
The article says the absence of Modi - who it points out is a Prime Ministerial aspirant - shows Modi's disapproval of BJP leader LK Advani's proposed rath yatra.
Earlier this month, referring to Modi's sadhbahna fast, 'Saamna' had ridiculed what they called was his new found love for secularism.
BJP national vice president Vinay Katiyar said, "Haven't read what is written in the Saamna article. BJP is not some family's party, but a party of its workers. Party workers have the ability of expressing their opinion and whatever decision is taken, it is unanimously followed."
