Durban: Switzerland defender Philippe Senderos has sprained his right ankle in the team's upset win against Spain in the World Cup on Wednesday.
Senderos will be examined again on Thursday and the center back could still play in Monday's match against Chile with both teams level on three points in Group H.
Senderos was substituted after 36 minutes at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Senderos has been a key player as the Swiss have now gone 490 minutes without conceding a World Cup goal.
