Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 43rd birthday on Sunday along with his family and close friends at his suburban bungalow Mannat.
The actor is presently busy with the post production of his home production Billo Barber, which is to be released next year, Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi to be released next month and preparation of the second season of the Indian Premiere League (IPL).
The actor has not had a single release since last Diwali. His films Om Shanti Om and Chak De India were huge box office sucesses and had swept all film awards.
His foray into IPL as the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders team did not have a dream run in the T-20 league while his television show Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai? also faired poorly.
However, the actor took these failures in a positive stride and said that each failure energises him to achieve greater success.
During his absence from the silver screen his 'King' status was virtually challenged by actor Akshay Kumar whose Singh is Kinng got a bigger opening than Om Shanti Om.
Shah Rukh Khan's spat with Salman Khan at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash also hit the headlines recently.
Salman spoke extensively about the fight ruling out patch up. SRK has however said that if Salman was not his friend he was not his enemy either.
