Shahi Tharoor likely to get Cong ticket

New Delhi: Noted author and former UN diplomat, Shashi Tharoor is likely to get a Congress ticket to contest from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency, Congress sources said on Thursday.

Tharoor, the former UN Under Secretary-General, had expressing willingness to enter politics.

The noted diplomat, who was India's candidate for the office of UN Secretary General in 2006, had earlier indicated that he will contest the Lok Sabha polls if he was given a chance and gave indications that his choice was Congress.
