New Delhi: Expressing his frustration at how Australian cricket is being run, legendary legspinner Shane Warne has put forward a blueprint that calls for a complete overhaul at the administrative level in Australia - right from the selectors to coaching staff.

In a blog post published on his website on Wednesday, Warne minced no words and named the men who he believes should hold the most important positions to bring back the days of Australian dominance.

"In my view, selecting a player is not based solely on statistics and averages. It can be used as a guide sure, but the objective of a selector is to look at when players get their runs and wickets, which shows character and a good temperament when under pressure, along with their talent ... There are many other ingredients that go into selecting a player, but this should be the basis of being selected," he wrote.

Warne has named the men, right from selectors to coaching staff, who should be in charge of cricket in Australia.

Warne also suggested that while Australia have the best captain in world cricket, there are places up for grabs. "We have the best batsmen[sic]/captain in world cricket at the moment in Michael Clarke and the spine of a good team with Warner, Watson, Wade, Siddle and Lyon. The rest of the spots are up for grabs in my opinion. Opportunities for players now are there for the taking."

The Australian then went on to name the men who he thinks should be in charge of running cricket in Australia. "In my opinion if the following people were to fill these roles, then Australian cricket would be in good hands and a great chance of getting back to number 1, as I believe the talent is there in domestic cricket - to have a great Australian team for now and for the future."
